To all interested in “investing” in and “eventually living” in Costa Rica…
Our last newsletter struck a chord with a large number of readers interested in investing in Costa Rica AND also interested in helping us “sell” or “market” Costa Rica, albeit primarily in the States or Canada.
What are we specifically looking for?
“the best way to describe the ideal candidate is to
say: the individual should love Costa Rica and have studied it extensively and ultimately wants to move here either full or part time.”
What is required?
“show our offerings and real estate to people…talk about Costa Rica…if someone has an interest in property , ask questions and offer to help with specifics…”
This is actually pretty simple as many of you do it now…but you might as well get paid for it! We are really seeking someone who would like to expand on their present enthusiasm for Costa Rica and ultimately
make it a business. We did and believe that anyone
who loves Costa Rica can do the same.
We will be happy to give support via printed material, even visits to participate in seminars and with
advertising.
Please note that we are not, ABSOLUTELY not, asking you to sell or recommend anything that you do not believe in 100%… we believe very strongly in what we are doing here at CR Home and always strive to give the best possible value available…and we also like to think that our products almost always are better in
one form or the other, than the competition. Our
offerings in San Mateo and in Grecia, for example, definitely beat the pants off anything out there…and we think that buyers will soon start recognizing our products for what they are and that our reputation will be almost a “stamp of approval” for many people for future projects.
We are seeking a relatively small number of people who
would like to help us…on a part time basis. If you

Now…on to investments.
Many of you have complained that our FUND was not precisely what you were looking for …or you simply were not prepared to invest the minimum without actually being able to examine each individual
investment. Many of you have requested specific
investments, and, up until now, we have not really separated the investment side of our business ( except for specific FUND type vehicles ).
From here on we will be sending out specific
investments for participation …and we will be laying out our rationale for recommendation as well as what
we feel are anticipated returns. We cannot predict
how often these recommendations will be made ( or actually how many will come to the market…after all this is Costa Rica and oftentimes offers are withdrawn without explanation , much to our frustration )
One of the absolute best recommendations we have at present is the preconstruction casitas that we are
offering in San Mateo. Prices are $99,999 and that
includes a quarter acre of land with panoramic ocean views…a 1000 sq. foot plus casita of stucco, terracotta tiles, 2 BR, 2 bath, large terraces, hardwood ceilings, landscaped lots, and of course, use
of the pool, clubhouse, and common area. We have
attached views of the land, casita, and the gorgeous views from the property. When the preconstruction prices are gone, prices will be a minimum of 25% to
40% higher. And we strongly suggest that any
interested buyers surf or travel down the coast past Parrita to get comparisons of similar offerings…you will quickly realize what a true value these prices
and offerings really are. The two larger lots
offered at preconstruction pricing are gone.

We have other pieces available at present but this is
head and shoulders above the rest. We are in the
process of examining others … and will let everyone know when and if they become available.
The following two pieces of land in Grecia are available and we believe that they have the capability of increasing in price at least 30-40% in the next
year:

1. A one manzana piece in Grecia about 100 meters off of a main road…gorgeous , panoramic views…one of the best values in a view property and priced less than
the competition by double digits. Price $34,000
2. A small house with a gorgeous view…we said in our last newsletter that we would bid on it and our bid was rejected…we think that at $16,000 it is still priced about 30-50% less than it should be .
Liveable as is.
These are the best buys other than the last two fixer uppers near Jaco….one for $46,000 and the other for
about the same. Very little work required and we
think a double in price over the next two years is
very very likely. Beach homes in this price range
simply do not happen any longer in Costa Rica. See
our last newsletter. Rainy season gives investors
more opportunity.
On another note: this is another reason why we love it here…Rodrigo’s home team played our neighborhood soccer team today and at half time the two teams invited the three gringos ( myself, Hanz and Steve ) to kick the balls to each team ( sort of like throwing out the first pitch ) . After we did, they all shook
hands with us. 95% of them don’t know us but they
sure made us feel welcome. After the game chickarees
and beer and soft drinks were served for everyone.
This happens almost every Sunday.
One last note: we have all seemingly become addicted
to “quadding” or ATV riding. Three of us have
acquired them and it is a very popular sport here …particularly with the miles and miles of back trails amidst the hills and valleys here. Good exercise and invariably there is a rally at least two or three
times monthly. At my age , I need all the exercise I
can get!

**one last note…as of today, we have one investor in the FUND who has asked that we offer his share for resale as he has had some severe financial reverses.
We cannot give him his money back as that would adversely affect other investors but we can offer it , at the same price, to others out there that reacted
