The January newsletter…and, in keeping with the monthly real estate offerings…even more and better…
Holidays are over, the month long celebration by nearly the entire country of Costa Rica is at an end. Of course, children are still out of school, and everyone is just starting to play catch up…which of course, here in Costa Rica , is nowhere as frantic as in the States or Canada.

Our pig roast was a success! Nearly 150 people attended and we went through nearly 200 pounds of pork and beef and , of course, all the auxiliary trimmings and drinks. A link for all interested may be seen here…
High season is also now in full force or at least working up to it. Beach properties continue to be in high demand as well as good ocean view properties. We simply cannot keep up with the demand. Those of you that are seeking good , quality properties in the Central Valley … we have a good selection , but honestly the numbers of properties are down from recent years. Sellers are being more careful and not wanting to commit themselves as readily. Last year, we thought that more people would be pushing northward… and it looks as though this year and next we will be proven right.
We have had virtually no earthquakes this year ( YET! ) and the winds which blow during ( typically ) the month of December has seemingly been less than usual. And of course, the rains have stopped. All is green and coffee harvest is almost done and sugar cane harvest is commencing in many places.

These properties are selling quickly. Only one is left from the last newsletter and the only reason that it is left is because the owner raised his price on us after we took him an offer. That does happen but it is rare.
Those of you who have received November and December newsletters may remember details about the area and why we are attracted to it. If you did not receive them, you can find details and links on our website, www.cr-home.com . We do not anticipate having more than one or two of ALL of the properties we have available here …at the end of high season. First come, first served.
One last note: our office in Grecia is complete and open for business! It is right behind the “ big red metal church” in downtown Grecia…so it is easy to find. We are in the process of scheduling so that it is open most hours of the day. It will make our life a lot easier…so stop in for coffee when you visit Grecia in the future!

Things are changing rapidly for CR Home. We have two developments which will be ready for sale and presentation in the very very near future. One is a superb ocean view property near San Mateo and in an absolutely gorgeous stting of jungle and literally thousand of hardwoods and trees. It will be gated and priced well. The other is in the mountains overlooking Grecia and contains a relatively small number of larger properties of a minimum of 2 and ½ acres….together with stunning views of the Central Valley , mountains, volcanoes, rivers, fruit trees and of course, the requisite coffee plantation and the ever present flocks of parrots and butterflies ( not to mention the ever present perfect climate which is always a temperate 68 to 82. ). We are proud of these efforts and look forward to presenting them to you in the very very near future. Watch for details.
