Our Dos Vistas project is finally underway! We have put in and leveled the existing road to the property of about 100 meters and then rerouted an easement (called a ser vi dumb ri) to an unobtrusive part of the property which will not interfere with the view. Progress has been delayed primarily because our rainy season refuses to give up and the hurricanes in other areas of Central America have affected the weather here. The roads and the actual building site are now totally done and complete.
The home to be built is currently being designed by an architect and will be approximately 1500 sq. ft. with two bedrooms and two baths. It will feature a large open and airy living area which will also serve as dining and kitchen. Ceilings will be wood and will be a minimum of 9-12 feet tall and beamed. All fixtures will be top of the line, water will be heated by On Demand units and wiring will be upgraded and electric service will be upgraded to handle additional appliances and amperage that most local homes here do not have.
All tiles, cabinets, woodwork and windows will be custom designed. The water is city and is excellent in this area and waste will be via septic system. The lot will be landscaped and, as anyone who lives here knows, will be gorgeous and feature many different varieties of trees and plants.
The home sits in the midst of a bird flyway and is designed to take advantage of the climate and views. Two patios will be available for viewing and there will be an abundance of windows and light in the house...it will be open, light and airy.
